Yokai Kingdom

Yokai Kingdom is a small indie game studio, with a vision to make gaming better for gamers by utilising exciting new technologies to re-imagine the games we love playing. 

Our first title is Oni's Quest. 

Inspired by ancient Japanese mythology and brought to life by the internationally-acclaimed artist Geo Law, Oni'sQuest is a unique new take on the cult-classic roguelike deck-builder genre. However, unlike traditional games, it is 'Web3 enhanced' which means it combines the player-centric benefits of blockchain technology (such as being able to freely swap and trade your digital assets), alongside the strategic card-based gameplay you've come to know and love from traditional deckbuilders.

Our vision: Better Gaming For Gamers, By Gamers

As avid gamers ourselves, we've often spent hundreds of hours playing our favourite games in order to unlock items (or paying for digital DLC and assets), only to then find them locked tight in the closed economies of traditional game publishers, with no way to swap or trade them with others.

However, it doesn't need to be this way. 

We're trying to do things differently.

By utilising exciting new technologies such as blockchain and AI, our vision is to create a fairer, more fun solution for gamers where the time and assets they invest in a game are freely available for them to do with as they wish. Blockchain technologies also unlock many other exciting opportunities, such as being able to play with your assets in games by other Web3 game publishers too.

But if blockchain isn't for you, that's totally fine too. 

We've carefully designed Oni's Quest, so that if you don't want to use those technologies, you don't have to and can play just like you always have with other 'old school' games.
